A young girl who grew up in the beautiful coastal forested state of Maine had a deep love for the nature she lived in and wanted to share what she so enjoyed. First she procured a camera and began to capture the wilds around her. When she wanted to reach a wider audience, she found joy in image editing software and website coding. Soon after, she took her brushes and canvases into the outdoors and began plein air painting. Ever creating and ever imagining new ways to harness and capture her surrounds, she began to create handmade jewelry from materials inspired by the raw outdoors.

It was only natural that she wanted to provide these creations to others, to share her visions. And that was how Winged Kitten Designs was born. In January 2010, Kelly Pride founded Winged Kitten Designs as a collective of her design work and began selling on Etsy, at fairs and festivals, and at various patronages. Her hope is that her clients can also see the beauty of the outdoors through her work.
